ALL IN – Day 38 of 60!

People are often afraid of the unknown. They worry about tomorrow today and fret over yesterday. The result is they often become depressed because of their unfounded fears. How often those who really know Christ in this situation forget Jesus’ word to us in Hebrews 13 – Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5, 6 NIV84)

Most of the time we are afraid because we feel all alone. We are afraid to try new things, afraid we won’t be successful, afraid we won’t get another job, afraid we’ll be made fun of.

I used to be like that until one day I realized I am never alone. In fact it is impossible for me to be alone because Christ is inside me and always with me. He made me and He cares what happens to me. Thus as long as I do the best I can in whatever situation I find myself – if I have faith in Christ everything is going to be okay. I had no reason to be afraid so I quit being afraid. The same applies to you this Valentine’s day.

Are you ready for the next thing?
