IRAC stands for Issue, Rule, Analysis and Conclusion. Prior to becoming a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, God allowed me the opportunity to become an attorney. Each attorney learns IRAC in law school as the sole method to evaluate any issue.
Issue – Are you all in? Am I all in?
Rule – And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:29-31 KJV)
Analysis – I demonstrate my love by giving God my heart. He is the center of my world. I long for His presence at all times. I want to do what pleases him and I do it. I don’t make excuses for missing church and Bible Study – I show up. I don’t make excuses for not getting to His Word daily – I do it.
My soul is filled with His Holy Spirit and I can’t wait to tell others about Him. About the freedom He has given me by releasing me from my past. My mind is now controlled by His thought process and I see people now through His eyes. I no longer judge or act based on my emotions, feelings or what seems right to me as a man. I use all my strength – time, talents and finances – to serve Him whenever and wherever I can. I sacrifice my wants for His needs. I sacrificially give to Him all of me. I do it daily versus occasionally. Further proof 1) look at my schedule – it reflects the number one priority God has in my life 2) look at my bank statement. God not only gets the first – He gets whatever else is needed to ensure His work is done.
I demonstrate my love to my neighbor by showing him the Christ in me through the words that now come out of my mouth, by my actions when things go wrong, by my attitude in what appear to man as hopeless situations. I live in the power of the Holy Spirit and I allow Him control in my interactions with those around me. When God in my spirit tells me to help someone – I say yes even if it is all I have left to fill a need or takes me out of the way. Christ saw my need, He gave up all and came out of His way to save me. I simply follow His example.
Conclusion – I am ALL IN.
Are you? IRAC to see.
