ALL IN – Day 33 of 60!

Have you ever been so hungry you felt like you were starving? Your stomach ached for food; however, you were in a place where you couldn’t find anything to eat. Maybe on a long drive when you forgot to pack snacks and the next exit with food is still 50 miles away. You feel like you’re in the wilderness. You search everywhere in the car for just a mint – but nothing. It is like you’re lost in the wilderness.

There come times in our Christian journey when we feel empty. We feel like we can’t find what we need to satisfy our hunger. It is at those times that I remember what King David said when he was wandering in the wilderness of Judah.

“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. (Psalms 63:1-8 KJV)

Like David I begin to seek The Lord even more earnestly. I begin to praise him in advance for leading me to where I will be filled. I remember how in the past He always showed up and I begin to meditate on His word. I know God loves me and He knows what is best for me. I know that once I pass this wilderness test – He will move me to a new level. Praise God the Almighty. Are you praising Him no matter what? Are you ready to move up to a new level?
