ALL IN – Day 23 of 60!

2 Corinthians 5:9-10 states “So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. (10) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”

Bottom line, like it or not, these verses make clear we are all accountable to God for our conduct. We know that standing between us and fully being All In with God is our pride, which if we let it, will hinder our desire to please God by submitting.

At some point it must resonate within us that God through His Spirit has given us a valuable power, an “edge.” He has not given us an impossible challenge. Receiving His Holy Spirit has given us the means to meet our responsibility to submit voluntarily to Him.

Because of exposure to Satan and the world, pride is within us almost from birth. Humility, though, is not part of us from birth. Spiritual humility is manifested in us as we sincerely chase after God and our choose to be under His direction. Only then can we truly be sure our works are judgment proof.
