My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. (John 15:12 NIV84)
The most difficult task of being all-in is observing this one small command. Why? Because it incorporates so much. You don’t want people to gossip about you so you can’t gossip about them. You don’t want people to take advantage of you so you can’t take advantage of them. You want to be taken seriously by others so you have to take others seriously. You want to be cared about so you have to care about others. You want the truth so you have to tell the truth. You want others to sacrifice for you so you must sacrifice for others.
Jesus showed us true love. He sacrificed his life for us. He didn’t take advantage of his heavenly rights but endured life as a human to fully understand how it felt to be in our shoes. Are you loving as Christ loved?
