DAY 3
Every now and then a one of a kind opportunity for a dedicated group of Christians to change a community comes along. 2013 is that time for each of us. However, in order to be successful, there must be ongoing communication between that group. Fortunately for us, the Holy Spirit provides us with the ultimate communication device (PRAYER) to ensure we are all focused on the goal – doing His will. In Psalm 116:2b it states “I will call on Him as long as I live.” Simply put, this means that each of us should be committed to seeking out His will via prayer each and every day that we live. Remember prayer is simply communication. As we journey through this 60 day period, God wants us to remember that we need to listen for His voice and then do what He says versus doing all the talking/requesting. He wants us to make sure that whatever it is we are about to engage in – we have not only sought His input but we are obedient to what He tells us. There may be times we don’t like what we hear due to the prior conditioning of our minds by this world; however, as we continue to say nevertheless not my will but yours we will see the awesome things God brings about simply because of our obedience. Remember His line is always open. Have you called on him today? I have and will continue throughout the day.
